My favorite place in Chicago was certainly the Crown Fountain installation in Millenium Park. These 15-meter high towers displaying videos of various faces are fascinating. Moreover, it was fun to observe how people interacted with it, especially children jumping under the spouts, playing with the water.

Large US cities typically offer recurrent motifs: skyscrapers as far as the eye can see, a plethora of windows dotting the sides of buildings, pigeons wandering down the street…

Chicago is indeed a very interesting and photogenic city: on the one hand, typical American skyscrapers and endless avenues with vertical perspective; on the other hand, smooth rounded shapes enhance this rectangular environment. I particularly liked the magnificent Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park, the Cloud Gate and the glass dome at the Chicago Cultural Center.
